This single- family home was designed for a couple with grown children, on a generous site in the center of town.  Structures are placed on the diagonal in order in elongate views through the property.  At only one room deep, natural light penetrates each space of the house; drama is enhanced by the layering of shapes and volumes.

With a taste for tradition but the love of clean lines, the plan is spread out like an old country house, proportions are classical but details are crisp.  Finishes and furnishings were selected for their contrast and harmony with each other.
