Reorganization
of the 2,200 square foot structure perched high over Lake Travis
transformed this modest “ranch style” into a modern
house. Crisp details like the new stair, clean maple cabinetry,
and commercial windows elevated the level of construction to a more
compatible union between house and site.
Existing walls were removed to increase circulation flow and to
expose all rooms to the beauty of the water below. Interior volumes
contract then expand toward the view; lighting solutions accentuate
this movement.
