Richard is an architectural intern in the process of working towards his Architectural License; he joined Tim Cuppett Architects in 2007 looking for the opportunity to focus on residential design and space planning. With a passion for design and an eagerness to learn, he brings such skills as hand rendering, 3D modeling, graphic design and a proficiency in Photoshop.

Before joining us Richard gained experience as a Project Manager and Intern at a large local architecture firm. Working on a variety of religious and civic projects, he gained experience in master planning, materials selection, client interaction, team management and marketing.


As a graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a Master of Architecture and a B.F.A. in Historic Preservation; he has a unique perspective and a vast vocabulary of architectural influences to draw from.

Richard is the acting President & founding member of the Central Texas Chapter of the Documentation and Conservation of Buildings, Sites & Neighborhoods of the Modern Movement. He is also active in many local community architecture events and competitions; that desire to participate led him to Mississippi City after Hurricane Katrina. Where he did physical clean-up, surveyed the state of existing structures and also proposed a set of design guidelines that was presented to the local community. His preservation background taught him to research and document historic structures and artifacts along with the ability to provide detailed analysis on item such as historic paints, finishes, important dates and the application of restoration techniques.
